ULTRASONIC WELD TESTING

Ultrasonic weld inspection stands as a cornerstone of non-destructive testing (NDT), indispensable for detecting internal discontinuities within welded structures. This method exploits the principles of ultrasonic energy transmission, where high-frequency sound waves penetrate the material under examination. Upon encountering a discontinuity, a portion of the energy reflects back to the transducer, producing a distinct signal trace on a cathode-ray oscilloscope. Notably, the velocity of sound in the material remains nearly constant, enabling precise distance measurements and accurate defect localization. The amplitude of reflected pulses correlates with the size of the defect, facilitating its evaluation. TechCorr's ultrasonic testing services offer distinct advantages, including the ability to inspect both surface and subsurface discontinuities, provide depth information of flaws, require minimal inspection preparation, and necessitate access to only one side of the weld. Moreover, our portable testing capabilities ensure rapid, cost-effective, and regulatory-compliant inspections, reaffirming our commitment to delivering unparalleled NDT solutions since 1999.
